
The Executives of the Private Universities Founders Association (PUFA) have been re-elected to serve another two-year term, at its maiden Annual General Meeting held on Friday in Accra.
The president and founder of the Wisconsin University, Dr Kojo Fynn, and his three other executives will now be assisted by four others as stipulated by their constitution.
The rest are Professor Larbill, founder of the Regent University College, Reverend Dr Essess, Knutford University College, Prof. M Gyimbah, University of Applied Management and Prof. Afua Hesse, Accra College of Medicine.
The rest are Ms Joyce Ababio, founder of JACCD and Treasurer, Tetteh Nartey, Marshalls University College, Prof. Dee Otibu-Asare, Public Relations Officer, Dr Ernest Ansah, Datalink and Nana Owusu Kwarteng, Garden University College.
The election in accordance with the association’s constitution adopted in February 2023 mandates a term for each executive member and subject to re-election.
Dr Fynn after the process commended the members for the confidence reposed in the team and assured of working harder to achieve the long term goals of the association.
“We have come a long way within these two years and what is left now is to partner the Ministry of Education and other stakeholders to advance the cause of tertiary education in the country,” he added.
Dr Fynn urged other founding members of private universities to join the association in order to be part of decision-making process aimed at promoting University education in the country.
