Mr Daniel Hinne, the Deputy Dormaa Central Constituency Secretary of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), in the Bono Region, has urged more women in the party to contest for leadership positions in politics.
He encouraged women to be courageous and aspire for higher political positions to enable them to also contribute meaningfully to the growth of the party and national development.
Mr Hinne in an interview with the Ghana News Agency (GNA) at Dormaa Ahenkro, expressed worry after finding out that only one out of the eight people contesting for the Dormaa Municipal Chief Executive position was a woman.
He asked women in the NDC to participate in party and community activities so that they can acquire experience and vie for leadership positions. —GNA
