Julian Baisie, known by many as Too Deep (TDIGG), is no stranger to Ghana’s creative scene. As a graphic designer, award-winning recording artist, and founder of the globally recognised clothing brand Urban Cognative, TDIGG is a multidimensional creative whose work spans music, fashion, and mentorship. But it is his unwavering commitment to faith and purpose that continues to define his path.
A trailblazer of Urban Gospel in Ghana, Too Deep first made waves in 2006 as part of Street Disciples (GUD Music), a group credited with shaping the foundation of Christian hip-hop in the country. His discography includes the celebrated mixtape trilogy This Path I Chose, the live-recorded The Risen Christ EP, and his debut album Through It All—a project that earned him Best Songwriter at the 2022 Outstanding Achievers’ Excellence Awards.
Following that milestone, TDIGG stepped away from music to focus on family and his design enterprise. “It was a necessary pause,” he noted, reflecting on the balance between calling and commitment. But in 2025, he reignited the flame with the release of “Questions,” a soul-searching track that had been shelved since 2022. “It just wasn’t the right time back then,” he said. “The message needed the right moment to land.”
That moment is now. His latest single, Blessed & Highly Favoured, released on July 1st, has already struck a chord with audiences, reigniting excitement for his return and reinforcing his commitment to music that uplifts and edifies.
In a recent appearance on the Keys & Strings Show with Omari Kissi Jnr on Sweet Melodies 94.3 FM, Too Deep shared deep insights about the tension between artistry and spiritual responsibility. “Without the grace of God, it’s easy for a Christian artist to lose sight of their calling,” he cautioned. “Fame can be a trap. Staying grounded isn’t optional—it’s vital.”
As fans celebrate his comeback, anticipation builds for his upcoming project Through It All (Chapter 2), a continuation of the journey that began with his debut album. While the release date remains under wraps, TDIGG promises the same honesty, spiritual insight, and lyrical depth that have become his hallmark.
