
Miss Vera Oye Bram-Larbi, a passionate youth advocate and committed member of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) has officially declared her intention to contest for the position of National Youth Organiser of the party.
Her announcement comes at a critical time, as the NPP gears up for the 2028 general elections, with a strong emphasis on revitalising its youth base.
In a declaration addressed to the leadership and members of the party, Vera emphasised that her motivation is rooted not in personal ambition, but in service to the party and its future.
“I am inspired to step forward at this crucial juncture, not for personal gain, but to serve as a catalyst for the resurgence of our party’s strength and unity ahead of the 2028 general elections,” she stated.
According to her, the youth are not only the future of Ghana but the present drivers of innovation, energy and transformation.
She believes that the NPP’s success in the 2028 polls will depend heavily on how well the party mobilises and empowers its youthful base.
“Together, we have the power to spark a renewed sense of purpose within our party… The path to victory in 2028 begins now,” she added.
Vera Oye Bram-Larbi outlined a structured and forward-looking agenda to reposition the NPP youth wing. Among her key proposals are:
Youth Social Camps in Senior High Schools to promote civic education and career guidance;
Boot Camps in tertiary institutions to complement the work of TESCON and promote intra-party networking;
Diaspora Youth Exchange Programs in collaboration with NPP branches abroad to build youth capacity in modern politics;
A Comprehensive Youth Empowerment and Support Program focused on leadership training, skill development, and career advancement; The adoption of modern technology to streamline communication and deepen engagement with the youth.
If elected, she would become the first woman in the history of the NPP to occupy the position of National Youth Organiser, a milestone that symbolises her commitment to inclusive and transformational leadership.
Miss Bram-Larbi’s political journey spans over a decade, beginning in 2010 as a polling station executive in the Takoradi Constituency. She has held several key roles in the party, including:
Member of the 2016 Anyaa-Sowutuom Campaign Team; Women’s Commissioner for TESCON at GIMPA; Founding member and former Greater Accra Regional Captain of the NPP Loyal Ladies; Former Director of Programs and Events for the Greater Accra Youth Wing.
She currently serves as polling station organiser at Atomic Basic School A.
Her rise within the ranks of the party is attributed to her outstanding commitment to youth empowerment, strategic planning, and community engagement.
Miss Bram-Larbi holds an HND in Management Information Systems from the British Computer Society, a BSc in Public Administration from GIMPA and two Master’s degrees – one in Public Affairs from the University of Ghana and another in Gender, Peace and Security from the Kofi Annan International Peacekeeping Training Centre.
These academic achievements, coupled with her leadership experience, place her in a unique position to lead a youth renaissance within the NPP.
Her candidacy is already generating excitement among youth supporters, particularly women within the party, who see her potential historic election as a catalyst for change.
She is urging all party stakeholders, especially the youth to rally behind her vision for a re-energised, inclusive and strategically empowered youth front.
With her dynamic blend of experience, academic prowess and bold policy ideas, Vera Oye Bram-Larbi is positioning herself as a transformative force poised to usher in a new era of youth leadership within the NPP.
All eyes are now on the internal race as party members prepare to decide the next face of youth mobilization leading up to 2028.
