
Madam Josephine Afriyie, a United Kingdom-based businesswoman has been enstooled as the Krontihemaa at Techimantia-Subriso in the Tano South Municipality of the Ahafo region of Ghana.
The new Krontihemaa, who answers to the stool name of Nana Hemaa Abena Afriyie, is the first female to occupy the stool after all the necessary customary rites had been performed and accepted by the Subriso King-makers, following her nomination.
Nana Hemaa Abena Afriyie has since sworn the oath of allegiance to Nana Adawia III, the Odikro of Subriso, at the Subriso Royal Palace, which was attended by the chiefs, elders and residents of surrounding communities.
Nana Hemaa Abena Afriyie expressed her gratitude to the chiefs and elders of Subriso for the endorsement and the trust reposed in her.
She disclosed that her enstoolment as the first Krontihemaa of Subriso is a significant milestone not only for her but for the community and that, it is an honour to serve the community.
Nana Abena Afriyie expressed her commitment and readiness to support the chiefs and the elders towards the developmental agenda of the community.
