Mr. Godwin Selase Ziga, the Chief Executive Officer Adankwame Community Mining Scheme, under the ZIGX Group of companies in the Atwima Nwabiagya Municipality, has donated Mathematics Sets, Pens and Pencils to the Amadum-Adankwame Junior High School (JHS) BECE candidates, as a motivation to them as they prepare to write their final Examinations.
The gesture is part of the company’s corporate social responsibility and comes after he had solely built a 4-unit classroom block with other auxiliary offices for the community, as part of his corporate social responsibility.
Mr. Selase urged the candidates to be their own motivators and get inspired by the government’s Free Senior High School policy that awaits them, to benefit and move higher on the educational ladder.
Mrs. Christiana Atoproke, Assistant Headmistress of Amadum-Adankwame M/A JHS, expressed gratitude to Mr. Godwin Selassie for the support and wished him the best in his endeavours. She hoped the donation would go a long way and improve the confidence level of the candidates as they write their examination.
She also pleaded with other individuals, stakeholders and corporate organisations to complement government efforts to improve the standard of education, as the government alone cannot shoulder the burden in delivering quality education to young and upcoming generations.
Charles Amankwaah, Assembly Member for Asakraka Electoral Area expressed gratitude to the Adankwame Community Mining Scheme CEO for the support, which he noted, would serve as a motivation for the candidates to have sound minds to write the examination.
