Intelligence information picked up by The Chronicle at press time last night indicated that the Ghana Police Service has managed to trace the alleged killers of General Constable Emmanuel Osei to a Koforidua suburb. The cop was gunned down whilst escorting a bullion van at James Town, s suburb of Accra recently.
According to multiple sources, heavily armed 20 police personnel were dispatched from Accra yesterday, to the Eastern Regional capital to arrest the fugitives. The police managed to locate the house, painted in white colour at Okroase Methodist Junction, close to Tigo Pole, surrounded it but the suspects apparently got a hint of the police presence and escaped.
The security officers, however, towed a Range Rover vehicle which had been parked in the house away. The police also towed a motorbike, which our sources alleged also belonged to the fugitives.
The Chronicle also gleaned from another credible source that the occupant(s) of the said building, who appear to be Nigerian(s), always display a very strange lifestyle, raising suspicion that they were engaged in criminal activities.
