Information reaching 442gh.com indicates that Ghana Premier League side Ashantigold have terminated their contract with the Serbian trainer Milovan Cirkovic after three months.
The 57-year-old trainer has been relieved of his duties as the head coach of the Miners after a meeting with the club’s president, Dr. Kwaku Frimpong on Tuesday morning.
The UEFA License ‘A’ holder was appointed late last year following the departure of Italian gaffer Roberto Landi in 2020.
Cirkovic joined Ashantigold ahead of 2020/2021 Ghana Premier League season but the Serbian gaffer is reported to be unhappy and has left the club due for personal reasons.
He worked as assistant coach of Thailand from September 2017 to January 2019 and also assistant manager of Serbian side Borak Cacak from January 2008 to September 2017.
Ashanti Gold comfortably sit 7th on the league log with 21 points.
As the Miners search for a substantive coach, assistant coach Thomas Duah will play a stop-gap role in their game against Dreams Fc on Thursday.
