Banda MP donates 12,000 blocks to four churches

The Member of Parliament (MP) for Banda Constituency in the Bono Region, Mr. Ahmed Ibrahim, has donated 12,000 blocks of cement to four churches at Banda Ahenkro towards the construction of accommodation for their resident pastors.

He said at the presentation ceremony the gesture was to help promote religious tolerance in the area, as well as an initiative to instill moral discipline among members of the various religious bodies to help curb bribery and corruption, and promote transparency.

Mr Ibrahim, who is the Deputy Minority Chief Whip, reiterated that discipline, hard work and integrity must continue to characterise the operations of churches in the country.

The beneficiary churches were Christ Apostolic, Assemblies of God, Roman Catholic and New Apostolic.

The Head Priest of the Roman Catholic Church, Reverend Father Alex Osei, on behalf of the other churches, thanked the MP for supporting God’s work.
