The Central Regional office of the Driver and Vehicle License Authority (DVLA) has been remodeled to make operations of the authority less cumbersome and efficient to meet the test of time.
The inaugurated new office complex would be consistent with the DVLA’s new normal of digitisation and system integration.
In his inaugural speech, the Board Chairman of the DVLA, Mr Frank Davies, stated that there were efforts to leverage public, private partnerships in the operations of the Authority.
In this regard, he disclosed that there was an establishment of Private Vehicle Testing Stations (PVTS) which have seen 27 dotted across the country, with several others being constructed.
“As I speak, plans are far advanced to open premium centres at some locations across the country to provide first-class and expeditious services to our cherished customers,” he disclosed.
He mentioned that the DVLA would continue its collaboration with all stakeholders for more rigorous implementation and enforcement of its regulations.
He gave the assurance that the Authority would continue to implement various systems aimed at protecting the privacy of the data and personal information of all customers at all levels.
On his part, the Central Regional Manager of the DVLA, Mr Lawrence Adom, stated that the new Cape Coast office was fully equipped to successfully undertake services which included premium, mobile and electronic vehicle registration.
The authority, he further said, had played a pivotal role regarding driver and vehicle licensing in the country, with trusted services to both Ghanaians and other nationals in and out of the regional capital.
“After years of hard work, the Cape Coast office has developed a reputation for being one of the best regional offices, and we are honoured,” he stated.
Mr Adom added that the new facilitywould enable the authority to effectively provide improved and more efficient services to meet the growing needs of its customers.
He further gave an assurance that the new office would be used to prioritise the needs of their cherished clients and provide them with high quality services
The inauguration of the new DVLA office in Cape Coast adds to a number of new modelled facilities the Authority has inaugurated across the country with the view to make its services readily available to customers.
