
The man who budged into the polling station at about 7:00 am without his voters ID card demanded his right to exercise his franchise prompting the Electoral Officers to search his name in the registers.
Ultimate fm’s Barima Kwabena Owusu reported that after a long unsuccessful search, he was ushered into the Kronom M/A polling station ‘B’ to try his luck.
Kwame Dwomffour was subsequently referred to the Kronom M/A Polling Station ‘C’ and D’ with no sign of his name in the registers.
Hell broke loose for the gentleman who lost his temper and begun hurling invectives at the EC officers for denying him the opportunity to vote.
It however took the timely intervention of a policeman on duty to whisk him away from the scene before things could get into fisticuffs.
Even at that, the angered drunk man would not be assuaged as he kept screaming insults and accusations creating a scene while struggling to maintain his balance as he staggered his way off.
Barima however reported that voter turnout was not impressive as at 9:00 am with people not showing any concern about the exercise.
At the Kronom MA C enter ‘B’ out of the 694 registered voters, only 13 had voted.
At the Kronom M/A centre ‘C’ out of the 501 expected voters, only 9 had voted.
The situation was same at the Abuahia SDA Polling Station ‘A’, only 15 out of the 598 had cast their votes.
