
Blay beat team mate Matthew Kelvin Andoh, Ashgold’s Emmanuel Osei Baffour, Sekondi Hasaacas’s Ibrahim Sanah and former Skyy FC forward Ebenezer Edukwaw to win this award.
The award is presented to all footballers who hail from the Western Region of Ghana.
Blay had a splendid season with both Medeama and Kotoko in the NC special tournament and CAF Champions League/Confederation Cup respectively before rapping up with a second place position at the 2019 WAFU in Senegal with the Black Stars B.
He is the first product of Shama district to win this legendary award which begun in the late 90's and has been widely dominated by Sekondi/Takoradi based players. Read Full Story
