Top brands, business icons to be honoured on November 9

Businesses and brands that have exhibited continuous quality, standard and competitiveness, as well as some business icons who have been able to growth their ventures through quality leadership skills will be recognized at the third Edition of Ghana Business Quality and Pride Awards (GBQPA).

This year’s event has been slated for Saturday, November 09, at the Movenpick Ambassador Hotel in Accra.

The GBQPA seeks to promote quality business leadership, best premium quality products and business services in the country.

The awards is being organised by the Entrepreneurs Foundation of Ghana (EFG) under the auspices of the Ministry of Business Development with endorsement from Ghana Standard Authority.

The awards, which would be held on the theme: "Promoting International Quality Business through Strategic Partnership for Economic Growth", seeks to promote global premium quality products and business services.

The award ceremony is expected to present more than 35 awards to award-winning business icons, quality diplomatic leadership, Premium Quality business services and quality products and business Pride, who have contributed to the promotion of quality socio-economic and business development in Ghana.

It said the assessment criteria for the selection of the nominees were based on the basis of five parameters including the Most Popular Premium Quality Brands, Best-selling Quality Brands in Ghana, Product/ Service Innovation, Product/service Competitiveness and Product Standard Certification (ISO 9001:2015 certification.)

It said the award also sought to promote local and international countries brands in Ghana that have met the standards of premium quality, deserving of praise and commendation from consumers and the public. The statement said the third edition of the Ghana Business Quality and Pride Awards was a combination of Ghana Business Quality Awards and International Business Pride Awards, which seeks to promote, market and advertise premium quality and most valuable global brands in Ghana.

Some of the awards to be given out include: Overall Business Icon, Quality Diplomatic Leadership Award, Real Estate Business Icon, Outstanding Chief Executive Officer of the Year 2018, Oil and Gas Business Icon Award 2018, Healthcare Business Icon Award 2018, Premium Quality Foreign Bank Business Pride Award 2018, Premium Quality Ghanaian Bank Business Pride Award 2018, Premium Quality Ghanaian Shipping & Logistics Business Pride Award 2018, Premium Quality Pensions & Investments Business Pride Award 2018 and Premium Quality Oil & Gas Business Pride Award 2018.

Other recognitions would go for Premium Quality Japanese Automotive Business Pride, Premium Quality American Technology Business Pride, Premium Quality South Korean Electronics Business Pride, Premium Quality Agri- Business Pride Award 2018, Premium Quality French Business Pride, Premium Quality Agro-processing Business Pride Award 2018, Premium Quality Agro-processing Business Pride Award 2018 and Premium Quality Pharmaceuticals Business Pride Award 2018 Premium Quality Telecommunications Business Pride Award 2018 and among others.
