But management of the club want the 30-year-old Ghanaian to stay much long with the club and have decided to open negotiations with the player to keep him until 2022.
The one year contract extension could keep him away from suitors as his consistent performance in the Serie A could make him a prime target for most of the top European clubs
Italian websites report that the club have already contacted the representatives of the player with another meeting scheduled for the coming weeks.
The Ghanaian midfielder who plays as a left-back for the Italian giants joined the Nerazzurri as a free agent in the summer of 2018 and has since established himself as an integral part of Coach Antonio Conte’s set up.
