Efia Odo sheds tears after question about dad pops up

It was an emotional moment for actress and presenter Efia Odo when a question about her dad popped up in an interview on Daybreak Hitz on Hitz FM.

The host of the show, Andy Dosty, in an interaction asked about her family, where she took time to talk about her mum.

The question that got to her was “where is your dad?” Though Efia tried answering, she couldn’t hold back her tears.

According to the actress, she doesn’t know much about her dad because “I didn’t have a father in my life. My mum was everything. She moved to America and he was here in Ghana. It hit me when you asked. And I feel bad to talk about him. He wasn’t there and it wasn’t his fault.”

She added that she is trying to mend the relationship between herself and her dad.

“He’s like a stranger. It’s like a battle for me. It’s one of my demons I’m trying to face. I’m spiritually and mentally trying to gather the strength to open up to him,” she said.
