
They are also demanding the payment of their Provident Fund contributions for the past three years and three months, as well as their end-of-year benefits which have stalled for the past seven years.
The former Akwatia Diamond Company was revived in 2011 after Jospong Group of Companies acquired a majority stake in it, but it has since been saddled with operational challenges.
The workers, clad in red arm and wrist bands, blocked the main entrance to the office on Monday.
They have vowed not to resume work until their demands are met.
