
Antwi made history when he scored a hat-trick against ENPPI, to become the highest foreign goal scorer in Egyptian football with 63 goals.
In the process he surpassed fellow Ghanaian Papa Arko who held the record with 61 goals following spells with a number of Egyptian sides including Zamalek.
Antwi’s spell in Egypt started in the summer of 2012 and has seen him feature for the likes of Ismaily and Al-Ahly.
“I will thank God first of all for bringing me this far because it has not been easy.
“I have really worked hard since I arrived here to achieve.
“Most players come here and find it hard to adapt but I told myself that I need to focus and work really hard to get something for myself.
“It has taken determination and focus,”he told Citi Sport in an interview.
The 26-year-old is in his third season with Misr Lel Makassa but is yet to make his full competitive debut with the Black Stars. Read Full Story
