The Ghana Football Association (GFA) has announced four international friendlies for the Black Stars as part of their preparations for the 2026 FIFA World Cup.
Ghana will be making their fifth appearance at the global tournament, which will be co-hosted by the United States, Canada, and Mexico later this year.
The team’s build-up begins on Friday, March 27, when they face Austria at Vienna’s Ernst Happel Stadium, with kickoff scheduled for 17:00 GMT. Three days later, the Black Stars travel to Stuttgart to take on Germany at the MHP Arena.
In May, head coach Otto Addo will guide the team through another warm-up match against Mexico, though the venue and kickoff time are yet to be confirmed. The final friendly is set for June 2 against Wales at Cardiff City Stadium.
Ghana will enter the World Cup aiming to surpass previous performances, having exited at the group stage in both the 2014 tournament in Brazil and the 2022 edition in Qatar.
The four-time African champions have been drawn in Group L alongside Panama, England, and Croatia. They open their campaign against Panama on June 17, face England on June 23, and close the group stage against Croatia on June 27.
