Medeama SC head coach Ibrahim Tanko has noted that his team is not under pressure following Gold Stars’ victory against Hearts of Oak in the Ghana Premier League over the weekend.
The Yellow and Mauves played against Swedu All Blacks on Sunday in their Week 24 fixture of the ongoing league campaign.
Despite putting up a top performance, Medeama SC only earned a point after the contest ended in a 1-1 draw.
Elsewhere, Gold Stars defeated Hearts of Oak 2-1 in their Week 24 clash, securing all three points to pile the pressure on Medeama SC.
Although Medeama’s lead at the top of the league table is now just one, Ibrahim Tanko is not feeling any pressure.
He insists his team must focus on themselves and prepare to win their next match in the Ghana Premier League.
“We have to look at our game. I don’t think we have to look elsewhere. If they won, we also picked a point here, and we are still league leaders, so we look at the next game,” Tanko noted.
Up next for Ibrahim Tanko and his charges, they will host Hohoe United during Week 25.
