The CAF Licence A Coaching Course will begin at the Ghanaman Soccer Centre of Excellence on Tuesday, 17 February, with Ghana Football Association President Kurt Okraku scheduled to address participants on Thursday, 19 February 2026.
The intensive 10-day programme will bring together elite coaches from across the continent, all aiming to obtain one of CAF’s highest coaching qualifications. The Licence A is regarded as a key requirement for coaches seeking to work at the top-flight club level and within national team structures.
Participants will take part in rigorous theoretical and practical sessions covering modern tactical principles, player development, performance analysis, leadership, and match preparation. The course is structured to strengthen technical knowledge while equipping coaches with tools to meet the evolving demands of the modern game.
The programme also seeks to align African coaching standards with global best practices, while addressing the unique challenges and realities of football development across the continent.
Hosting the course reflects the GFA’s continued investment in coach education as a pathway to improving the quality of the game, and forms part of the wider CAF Coaching Convention.
