Ghanaian international Eugene Ansah was on target for SC Ashdod on Wednesday evening, helping his side to come from two goals down to draw 2-2 with Maccabi Netanya FC in the Israeli Premier League.
Ansah, who has been in impressive form since the start of the campaign, started the Round 12 fixture played at Netanya Stadium and lasted the entire duration of the contest.
In the game of two halves, the host took their chances in the first half, scoring twice before the break.
Oz Bilu opened the scoring just four minutes into the game after he was set up by Matheus Davo
Later in the final minutes of the half, Davo converted a penalty kick to double the lead for Maccabi Netanya FC.
Despite being in control at halftime, the home team failed to dictate proceedings after the break, with SC Ashdod fighting for a point at the end of the game.
Experienced Ghanaian attacker Eugene Ansah scored in the 73rd minute to begin the comeback, before a strike from Nehoray Dabush forced the match to end 2-2.
With his goal today, Ansah now has seven goals and five assists in the Israeli Premier League after 12 games into the season.
