Ghana Premier League side Basake Holy Stars have strengthened their technical team with the appointment of experienced Ghanaian tactician Johnson Smith.
The club confirmed the recruitment of the former Asante Kotoko coach in an official notice on their Facebook page on Tuesday, November 25.
“Basake Holy Stars warmly welcomes Johnson Smith to our technical team.
“His expertise and experience will be an asset to our club. We look forward to achieving more together,” the club said in its post.
Johnson Smith joins Basake Holy Stars, having recently parted ways with fellow Ghana Premier League outfit Nations FC.
He has a lot of experience under his sleeve after working with several top-flight and lower division clubs in the last decade.
He is currently one of two assistant coaches of the Black Satellites, completing the backroom staff under newly appointed head coach Maxwell Konadu.
With the help of Smith, Holy Stars will hope to improve their performance to climb out of the relegation zone of the Ghana Premier League.
