Port City FC staged an impressive comeback to defeat Hakla SC 2-1 at Nania Park on Sunday in the Access Bank Division One League Zone III.
The home side took the lead through Robinho Yao Gavi in the 23rd minute, but Port City responded before halftime when Korblah Junior Kedzie equalised in the 40th minute.
Kedzie then completed his brace in the 84th minute to secure the win for the visitors, earning the Player of the Match award. The victory moves Port City FC into second place on the table with 17 points from eight matches.
Okwawu United climbed to fourth in the Zone Three table after edging Na God FC 1-0 at Carl Reindorf Park in Dansoman. Mustapha Issah scored the decisive goal in the 33rd minute, giving the former Premier League side all three points and bringing their season tally to 14 points from eight games.
Golden Kick SC ended a two-game winless streak with a hard-fought 1-0 victory over FC Nania at the Tuba AstroTurf on Saturday, marking their fifth win of the season, the joint-highest in the zone.
Defensive midfielder Adomba Kofi Aninagyei scored just two minutes into the second half after a goalless first half, helping Golden Kick SC reach 16 points from eight matches.
