Dutch-born forward of Ghanaian descent, Jayden Addai, scored a brace on Monday night, inspiring Como to thump Torino 5-1 in the Italian Serie A.
The Week 12 encounter started brightly for Como, with Addai opening the scoring in the 11th minute. Jesus Rodriguez’s precise pass found Addai inside the box, and the forward made no mistake, drilling the ball into the roof of the net to put Como ahead.
Torino responded late in the first half when Nikola Vlasic confidently converted a penalty in stoppage time to level the score.
However, Jayden Addai restored Como’s lead just seven minutes into the second half. Collecting another slick pass from Rodriguez at the edge of the penalty area, he struck a low, precise shot into the bottom right corner, sending the away fans into raptures.
Como continued to dominate, with Jacobo Ramon extending the lead in the 72nd minute after rising high to meet a lofted cross from Maximo Perrone, heading it past the Torino goalkeeper.
Moments later, Nico Paz added another, with the referee confirming the goal after a VAR review, further cementing Como’s control of the match.
The rout was completed in the 86th minute when Martin Baturina showcased his individual brilliance, finishing with a sublime strike into the bottom right corner. Torino’s goalkeeper, Alberto Paleari, could only watch as the ball sailed past him.
With his goals today, Jayden Addai now has three goals after making seven appearances for Como in the Italian Serie A in the 2025/26 season.
