Sadat Abubakari signs new two-year deal with Sandvikens IF

Sandvikens IF has officially announced that 26-year-old Ghanaian midfielder Sadat Abubakari has signed a two-year contract extension.

After a difficult period sidelined by a knee injury, Sadat made his return in the final match of the season. His resilience and dedication left a strong impression on both the team and supporters at Jernvallen Stadium.

Sadat joined SIF from Eskilstuna City in 2022 and has since become a crowd favorite thanks to his versatility and reliability on the pitch. Although the entire 2025 season was wiped out by injury, his comeback in the season finale against Ostersund was a celebrated moment.

Reflecting on his decision to stay, Sadat shared: “We’ve made so many great memories together and my ambition is to create even better ones in the future. Sandviken is a huge part of my story and I want to keep making history here. I promise everyone that, as always, I will give everything to see this club reach new heights.”
