The 2025/26 Tema Colts League got off to a bright start on Saturday, 22 November 2025, at the Twedaase Primary School Park, kicking off a 26-week journey aimed at developing youth football across the metropolis.
The ceremonial kick-off was led by JoeSalam Abubakar, Chairman of the National Juvenile Committee, alongside Daasebre Adu-Asare, the Regional FA Coordinator. They were joined by members of the Executive Council of the Tema Metro Football Association, adding to the colour and excitement of the opening ceremony.
This season promises to be one of the most exciting in recent years, with 34 clubs taking part. The competition features 14 Colts Premier League sides and 20 Colts Division One League teams, all eager to showcase the next generation of football talent.
To maintain smooth competition and organisation, the teams have been grouped into zones, ensuring structured fixtures and encouraging wider community engagement across the municipality.
The Tema Metro FA expressed optimism about the long season ahead, reaffirming its commitment to nurturing young talent and strengthening the foundation of football in the region. Fans can look forward to 26 weeks of passion, skill, and the discovery of stars who could shape the future of Ghanaian football.
