Ghanaian teenager Edmund Baidoo was on the scoresheet for Red Bull Salzburg on Sunday afternoon when they suffered a shocking 3-2 defeat to WSG Tirol in the Austrian Bundesliga.
The 19-year-old started in the attack of his side in the Round 14 fixture of the league and impressed with his performance.
In the match played at Red Bull Arena, Moussa Kounfolo Yeo equalised after just 11 minutes into the contest to give the hosts the lead.
Later in the 37th minute, Moussa Kounfolo Yeo turned the provider, setting up Edmund Baidoo to find the back of the net as Red Bull Salzburg went into the break with a comfortable 2-0 advantage.
Baidoo, who now has four goals in the 2025/26 Austrian Bundesliga, was substituted in the 61st minute, making way for Clement Bischoff.
Just three minutes after that change, WSG Tirol halved the deficit, thanks to a strike from Nikolai Baden Frederiksen. After that goal, the visitors kept pushing and drew level in the 74th minute; this time, it was Jamie Lawrence who scored.
Despite being reduced to 10 men in the 87th minute, WSG Tirol managed to win the game in added time. A penalty awarded to the side was converted by Valentino Muller as the team secured a dramatic late win to stun Red Bull Salzburg at full-time.
