Dansoman Liberty Sports Academy sensation Yussif Saani has earned a call-up to the Ghana U20 national team as part of the latest screening phase ahead of next year’s WAFU Zone B U-20 Championship.
The 17-year-old forward, one of the standout performers in the maiden MTN Elite U19 Championship, will join the second batch of selected players at the Ghanaman Soccer Centre of Excellence in Prampram on Monday, November 24, 2025.
Saani’s rise has been rapid and well-deserved. His exceptional displays in the Elite U19 Championship, marked by flair, composure and impressive technical quality, firmly established him as one of the most exciting young talents in the country. He further enhanced his reputation with an eye-catching performance in the recent SBE Tournament in Accra, where he once again demonstrated his immense potential.
Head Coach Maxwell Konadu and his technical team are currently assessing multiple groups of emerging talents as they look to assemble a strong, competitive squad for the upcoming international assignments.
The ongoing screening exercise is designed to offer equal opportunity to both established and newly discovered prospects to stake a claim for a place in the final U20 team.
