Head coach of the Black Stars of Ghana, Otto Addo, has admitted that his team needs to improve before the 2026 FIFA World Cup.
Speaking after Ghana lost 1-0 to South Korea on Tuesday morning, the coach noted that his focus in the coming months will be on transforming the national team in all aspects of their play.
“For the World Cup, there are still some months to go for us to improve. Surely also in all aspects, in pressing and creating chances, but also not allowing chances, there's still room to improve, especially for Ghana,” Otto Addo said in his post-match.
The Black Stars, after losing narrowly to South Korea, have ultimately ended their tour in Asia.
Before the game against South Korea today, the Black Stars suffered a 2-0 defeat to Japan last week.
The two matches offered coach Otto Addo a chance to experiment and assess fringe and new players assembled for the November international break.
The coach will be hoping to have a full squad in March 2026 for key international friendly matches as part of preparations for the World Cup.
