Black Stars coach Otto Addo says Ghana have 'months' to make the necessary improvements before the 2026 World Cup, stressing that the team must refine every phase of their play ahead of the tournament.
After this break, the team will only meet once in the March window before regrouping for the 2026 World Cup.
He made the assessment after Tuesday’s 1-0 defeat to South Korea in Seoul, where Ghana produced a stronger display than in last week’s loss to Japan.
Addo acknowledged progress in several areas but noted that sharper execution will be required at the highest level.
“For the World Cup, there are still some months to go for us to improve, surely also in all aspects, in pressing and creating chances, but also not allowing chances,” he said.
"I can't speak too much about South Korea because I think, like I said, they did well today, but Japan is really, really at the moment on a very high level."
South Korea grew in confidence after the break and went ahead when Lee Tae-Seok headed in a well-delivered cross from Lee Kang-In in the 63rd minute.
Ghana stayed in the contest when Benjamin Asare saved Hwang Hee-Chan’s penalty, but their response fell short.
Goals from Kwabena Adu and Jonas Adjei Adjetey were ruled offside, denying a late comeback.
The result sealed consecutive defeats on the Asian tour, following Friday’s 2-0 loss to Japan.
