Champions Bibiani Gold Stars returned to winning ways in the Ghana Premier League with a hard-earned 1-0 victory over Karela United on Sunday at the Dun’s Park in Bibiani
Sanou Razak settled the contest in the 38th minute, finishing calmly to hand the Miners a deserved win and lift them back into the top four.
It was a controlled display from Gold Stars, who managed the game well after taking the lead and ensured Karela had little room to threaten a comeback.
The champions will now look to build on this momentum as they prepare for a week 11 showdown with Nations FC, a match that could push them even higher up the table as they continue their title defence.
Karela United, meanwhile, leave Bibiani disappointed once again. They are now without a win in three straight matches and continue to struggle for consistency. With pressure growing, they will hope to find relief next weekend when they face Basake Holy Stars in a crucial fixture.
