Ghanaian duo Helen Alormenu and Constance Agyemang were part of the Texas State University team which beat ULM 1-0 on Saturday night to win the Sun Belt Conference Tournament for the first time.
Alormenu, as usual, was made in the starting line-up as freshman Sadie Guzman scored the solitary goal at the Foley Sports Complex on Saturday night.
In the match, Texas State limited ULM to just three shots with two in the second half while the Bobcats took 10 shots and put half of them on frame.
Both Alormenu and Victoria Meza took two shots apiece.
Making a diagonal run across the ULM backline, Tsutsui fed Guzman a through ball. She had a breakaway against the goalkeeper that saw her take a touch to avoid her.
She took another touch and sent a low diagonal shot into the back of the net for the goal in the 54th minute.
The Bobcats kept on the attack and saw Mady Soumare and Alormenu put back-to-back shots on target that were stopped.
Texas State have now punched their ticket to the NCAA Tournament for the sixth time in program history and first since 2011.
