Patrick Agyemang scored a vital first half goal to help Derby County beat Blackburn Rovers 2-1 at Ewood Park in the Championship.
The American-Ghanaian forward rose high before halftime to head home Joe Ward’s cross, giving Derby a strong 2-0 lead going into the break. It was a simple finish yet full of hunger, and Derby fans loved every moment.
Derby started fast and took the lead in the 19th minute through Carlton Morris, who nodded in a close-range header after Callum Elder whipped in a corner. The visitors looked sharp, defending with discipline and breaking with purpose. Agyemang worked hard up front and lasted 71 minutes, earning applause from the away end for his energy and commitment.
Blackburn pushed hard, keeping most of the ball and finally pulling one back on 66 minutes when Yuki Ohashi scored from the penalty spot. The pressure grew late on, but Derby stayed calm and held firm until the final whistle.
A strong win for Derby, who showed fight and balance away from home. They return to action on November 22 against Watford.
