Basake Holy Stars will be desperate to turn around their dreadful start to the 2025/26 Ghana Premier League campaign when they host reigning champions Bibiani GoldStars at the AAK Sports Arena in Ampain on Sunday afternoon.
The Nzema-based side have endured a torrid run of form, losing all of their last five matches and collecting just two points from a possible 24 after eight rounds.
Holy Stars, who only scored their first goal of the season in last weekend’s 2-1 defeat to Hearts of Oak, will need to show a significant improvement in both attack and defence if they are to end their winless streak.
Their home fans will expect a spirited performance, knowing that every point could prove crucial in their bid to avoid an early relegation battle.
GoldStars, meanwhile, arrive in Ampain in better shape, unbeaten in their last four league matches, with three victories and a draw.
However, the champions have struggled on the road this term, managing just one point in their last three away fixtures, including heavy defeats to Asante Kotoko and Vision FC.
A win for GoldStars could lift them closer to the top four, while Holy Stars will be banking on home advantage to finally celebrate their first Premier League victory.
