Berekum Chelsea ended their three-game winless streak with a hard-fought 1-0 victory over Vision FC at the Golden City Park on Sunday.
Chelsea produced a dominant performance, showing greater urgency and control throughout the game, though their persistent struggles in front of goal remained evident. Despite creating several clear chances, they failed to extend their lead and had to settle for a narrow margin of victory.
Seidu Abubakar netted the only goal of the match, becoming the club’s fifth different scorer this season. The goal underlined Chelsea’s collective effort but also highlighted their lack of a consistent finisher, having managed just five goals in eight games.
The victory lifts Chelsea to eight points, easing some pressure on head coach Samuel Boadu, who will take confidence from his side’s improved display. They next travel to the Kpando Stadium to face Heart of Lions in what promises to be another stern test.
For Vision FC, it was another frustrating afternoon away from home, their second straight defeat. They are on level points with Chelsea but sit one place higher in 12th and will aim to respond against Eleven Wonders next weekend.
