Premier League giants Liverpool are keen to sign Ghana international Antoine Semenyo as the search for Mohammed Salah’s replacement continues.
The Reds are planning for life after the Egyptian star, who has struggled for form this season, with Semenyo emerging as a priority target.
The Black Stars forward has impressed Liverpool in the current campaign, and are keen on luring him to Anfield next summer.
Liverpool’s sporting director Richard Hughes is no stranger to Semenyo, having masterminded his switch to Bournemouth from Bristol City.
Semenyo was as a top transfer target for several clubs including Manchester United, Liverpool and Tottenham Hotspur during the summer transfer window, but opted to sign a new deal with Bournemouth.
Currently, the Cherries holds all the cards on the forward’s future after recently signing a new deal at the club. With no release clause in his current contract, clubs who are interested in the former Bristol City will have to meet Bournemouth's terms and stump up £70 million.
Semenyo has been in a scintillating form for Bournemouth this season, scoring six goals and delivering three assists in nine appearances in the Premier League.
