Bibiani GoldStars interim coach Nana Yaw Amankwah believes his team are rediscovering their form after securing a vital point away to Hearts of Oak in week seven of the Ghana Premier League.
The defending champions took the lead through a brace from forward Samuel Attah Kumi after initially being pegged back by the Phobians. Hearts later drew level through George Paaku’s header as both sides settled for a share of the spoils.
"Our boys are now picking up very well," Amankwah said after the match.
"We changed the strategy and realised we could break them on the counter-attack. We know they [Hearts of Oak] are weak when defending counters, and we just took our opportunities from there."
GoldStars exited the CAF Champions League preliminary round after a 7-0 aggregate defeat to JS Kabylie, but have responded strongly in the domestic campaign.
The team now sits fourth on the league table with 13 points and will face Young Apostles in their next fixture on November 2.
