Dutch-Ghanaian forward Brian Brobbey came off the bench to deliver a crucial assist as Sunderland stunned Chelsea 2â1 in a dramatic Premier League clash at Stamford Bridge on Saturday.
Brobbey, who replaced Wilson Isidor in the 75th minute, made an instant impact. With the score level deep into stoppage time, he showed composure beyond measure, holding off Chelsea’s defenders before slipping a perfect pass to Chemsdine Talbi. The midfielder calmly curled the ball into the bottom corner, sending the away fans into wild celebration.
Chelsea had started strong, taking the lead in the fourth minute through Alejandro Garnacho after a clever pass from Pedro Neto. Sunderland hit back in the 22nd minute when Isidor pounced on a loose ball inside the box to level the score.
Brobbey’s late brilliance completed Sunderland’s comeback, earning them a famous victory and moving them up to second in the league table. The Black Cats now turn their attention to their next Premier League match against Everton on November 3.
