Ghanaian teenager Edmund Baidoo was on target for Red Bull Salzburg on Thursday evening when the team suffered a 3-2 defeat to Ferencvaros in the Europa League.
The 19-year-old started the game in his team’s attack, playing 75 minutes before he was replaced by Clement Bischoff.
During his time on the pitch, Badioo worked his socks off for his side, opening the scoring for Red Bull Salzburg in the 13th minute.
He picked up the ball from the edge of the Ferencvaros box, made a space for himself and fired a low shot that went inside the right post.
Unfortunately, the Austrian giants could not maintain the momentum and allowed the Hungarian opponent to turn the game around.
The comeback started five minutes into the second half when Barnabas Varga scored with a thumping effort.
Later in the 56th minute, Kristoffer Zachariassen equalised with a header to make it 2-1 for Ferencvaros.
Shortly after, Dele also got his name on the scoresheet after he was set up by Kristoffer Zachariassen to make it 3-1.
Although Red Bull Salzburg scored in the 32nd minute through Yorbe Vertessen to make it 3-2, they could not avoid a defeat at the end of the 90 minutes.
Up next for Edmund Baidoo and his Red Bull Salzburg side, they will take on GO Ahead Eagles in their next match in the Europa League on November 6.
