Tottenham Hotspur manager Thomas Frank says competition for attacking positions remains intense at the club, with Mohammed Kudus and Brennan Johnson locked in a healthy battle for a starting spot on the wings.
Speaking ahead of Spurs’ Champions League clash with AS Monaco, Frank noted that both players bring unique qualities to the team. Kudus has been the preferred option on the right flank, while Johnson’s energy and versatility keep the fight for places alive.
"Brennan has been doing very well in training and scoring goals, which is always good," Frank said. "There’s strong competition for places, but Mo Kudus’ consistency and impact on the right wing give us a tactical edge."
Kudus, who joined from West Ham United in the summer, has been pivotal to Tottenham’s attacking play with his pace, creativity, and ability to unlock defences.
Johnson, meanwhile, provides balance with his flexibility across both flanks, a quality Frank believes will be vital as Spurs navigate a demanding season on multiple fronts.
The Ghanaian international has registered four assists and one goal in 10 appearances so far this campaign.
