Kingsley Schindler has marked his first appearance for Thai giants Buriram FC in their AFC Champions League game against Melbourne City.
The versatile Ghanaian joined Buriram during the international break, signing a deal till the end of the season after leaving Turkish outfit Samsunspor.
Despite joining the team eleven days ago, Schindler convinced Buriram United manager Osmar Loss Vieira, who included him in the squad for the trip to Australia.
Schindler started for the Thai champions before he was replaced in the 66th minute by Shayne Pattynama as Buriram suffered a narrow defeat in Melbourne.
Moments after leaving the pitch, the visitors opened the scoring through Goran Causic after a scrappy defending from Melbourne City.
However, the host recover in the final ten minutes with Elbasan Rashani netting the equaliser.
And late into injury time, Max Caputo poked home from a Nathan Atkinson cross to snatch a late win for the home side.
Schindler will be hoping for more game time as he eyes a place in Otto Addo's squad for the World Cup next summer.
