Hearts of Oak head coach Didi Dramani believes his side is showing encouraging progress after scoring twice in their 2-0 victory over Berekum Chelsea in the Ghana Premier League.
The Phobians, who had struggled for goals in their previous matches, displayed greater attacking fluidity at the Golden City Park, where they ended a two-game winless run to move closer to the top of the table.
Hamza Issah opened the scoring just after the hour mark, pouncing on a loose ball in the box, before Mawuli Wayo sealed the win in stoppage time with a composed finish.
Reflecting on the result, Dramani expressed satisfaction with the team’s improvement but maintained that more work lies ahead.
“Every game is very tough because all the teams are in the Premiership and every team tries to consolidate what they have,” he said.
“I think there is still more to improve. We have to remain consistent and sustainable. We still have a lot to improve as individual players and also as a team, but I think we are on the right path.”
Hearts sit second on the table with 12 points, just one behind leaders Medeama SC.
