AFC Bournemouth manager Andoni Iraola has lauded Ghana international Antoine Semenyo for his impressive development and decisive impact in Friday night’s 3-1 comeback win over Fulham at the Vitality Stadium.
Semenyo stole the spotlight with a second-half brace that overturned the visitors’ lead, showcasing the confidence and continual growth that have become hallmarks of his game.
“He is a player with confidence; he is growing every season. He has earned his way to the Premier League and is improving and improving," he said.
"He is adding things to his game. I hope he can get even better. I’m trying to make him not on the numbers, he won’t be better because he scores one goal more, because he helps the team more," he added.
In addition to his two goals, Semenyo set up Justin Kluivert for a stunning strike, helping the Cherries secure all three points and climb to second place on the Premier League table.
Semenyo’s current tally stands at six goals this season. The forward now turns his attention to Ghana’s crucial final round of 2026 World Cup qualifiers against the Central African Republic and Comoros later this month.
