Medeama SC head coach, Ibrahim Tanko, has married his long-time partner Ruweida Abubakar at a beautiful ceremony in Tema.
The former Ghana international tied the knot with his partner in the presence of family, friends, former teammates and management of Medeama SC.
The ceremony was held 24 hours after he had guided the Mauve and Yellow to an emphatic victory against Vision FC in the Ghana Premier League.
The wedding will take place on Saturday, September 20, 2025, in Tema, just 24 hours after Medeama’s emphatic win at the Tarkwa and Aboso Stadium lifted them three points clear at the top of the Ghana Premier League table.
The former Accra Lions coach has transformed Medeama into an early-season title contenders following back-to-back victories in the opening two matches of the 2025/26 campaign.
Unfortunately for Tanko, his honeymoon will be cut short due to club activities with Medeama SC.
He is scheduled to rejoin the team quickly as they prepare for a tough away fixture against Karela United at the Aliu Mahama Sports Stadium in Tamale next week, a crucial match as Medeama aim to maintain their early lead in the title race.
