Ghana U20 winger Ivy Osei Owusu has noted that the team is working hard to complete the double over the Tunisia U20 side in their tie in the qualifiers for the FIFA U20 Women’s World Cup.
Nicknamed the Black Princesses, the Ghanaian side secured a convincing 2-0 win over the opponent in the first leg of the tie last weekend.
In the game played in Sfax, a Mercy Attobrah brace ensured that the Princesses came back to Ghana with an advantage to take into the reverse fixture.
Speaking to Sporty FM ahead of the upcoming clash, Ivy Osei indicated that the Black Princesses are hungry for a second win against the Tunisians.
She shared that the players are determined to win every game in the qualifiers to book their place at the next FIFA U20 Women’s World Cup.
“We have been training, and we are really preparing. We have won, but that doesn’t mean we have to relax. We are just working hard so that we take a win in the second leg too.
“There is more room for improvement, so we are preparing so that we can win every game so that we can qualify for the World Cup,” Ivy Osei said.
The second leg meeting between Ghana and Tunisia is scheduled to be played at the Accra Sports Stadium on Sunday, September 28.
