Greater Accra completed a flawless group-stage campaign with a composed 2–0 victory over Elite Academy (Bolga) on Wednesday, September 24, to seal top spot in Group A at the 2025 KGL U17 Inter-Regional Colts Championship.
The capital side underlined their dominance throughout the tournament, comfortably dispatching their northern opponents to remain unbeaten.
Earlier at the FIFA Pitch in Accra, Northern Region edged Upper West 4–3 on penalties after an energetic 0–0 draw to conclude their group fixtures on a positive note. In another Group A showdown, Volta Region outlasted defending champions Western Region, also winning 4–3 on penalties after a scoreless regulation time to close their campaign with a morale-boosting victory.
Action in Group B was equally compelling. Central Region secured their place among the tournament’s form sides with a commanding 3–1 win over Greater Accra Elite B. Ashanti Region maintained their push with a clinical 2–0 triumph over Upper East, while Brong Ahafo claimed a hard-fought 2–1 victory against 2024 third-place finishers Eastern Region.
With the group stage complete, the stage is set for a captivating knockout phase, with an unbeaten Greater Accra emerging as the team to beat in Ghana’s premier youth football competition.
