Former Manchester City prodigy Aminu Mohammed is ready to make the most of the 'second chance' football has offered him following his move to Bechem United.
The 24-year-old signed a deal to join the Hunters after almost three years without a club. Before returning to the league, Mohammed had spent four years at Manchester City, where he failed to make an appearance for the English giants.
In between the four disappointing years, the West Africa Football Academy graduate had spent time on loan at NAC Breda, FC Dordrehct and SK Lommel.
"This is like a second chance for me. I have to grab it, I have to hold it like an egg. I don't have to let it slide again." he told 3 Sports.
Although he spent a lot of time home, several clubs including the 'big ones' in Ghana attempted to sign him but he chose Bechem United.
"Bechem United is a big team and it is a good club for young players like me. They give a lot of opportunities and they help a lot, that is why I am here," he added.
"When I was in the house, I got some offers. People talk to me that they want me and stuffs but I think those clubs are some of the biggest in the league and not only in Ghana, they no them in Europe and stuffs. The pressure there is too much and I want a somewhere where I can take my time and they will have patience for me. That's why I chose Bechem United."
Mohammed is expected to make his debut for Bechem United in the game against Bibiani GoldStars on Saturday as the 2025/26 season resumes.
