Techiman-based club Eleven Wonders have completed the signing of defender Edmund Afurapoe from Tema United on a season-long loan deal, as they continue to reshape their squad ahead of the new Ghana Premier League season.
The young defender, who has impressed with his consistency and discipline at Tema United, will now get the chance to feature at the highest level of Ghanaian football.
Afurapoe is expected to add depth and competition to the Wonders’ backline, which struggled with consistency last term.
Officials of the club believe his ability to read the game, coupled with his strength in aerial duels, will make him a valuable addition to the squad. The loan move also provides the player with an opportunity to showcase his potential on a bigger stage and earn regular top-flight football.
Eleven Wonders have been busy in the transfer market in recent weeks, securing experienced players and emerging talents as they aim to establish themselves firmly in the Premier League.
Afurapoe’s arrival is seen as another important step in their quest for stability and survival this season.
