In-form forward Abdul Fatawu Issahaku has explained the motivation behind his blistering start to the English Championship campaign with Leicester City.
The Ghana international has been the difference for the Foxes in the new campaign, with his last two goals ensuring the former Premier League champions secured back-to-back victories in the leagues.
Both goals, spectacular strikes, one against Charlton Athletic at the Valley and the other against Birmingham City at the King Power ensured Leicester climb to third on the table.
Issahaku missed most of last season following an anterior cruciate ligament injury but the 21-year-old seems to have been fueled by the disappointment as he makes amends in the new campaign.
"Last night was special, great effort from the lads and amazing support from the foxes. This come back is really personal is an apology to my self for what I have been through see you after the break Foxes," he posted on Social Media.
Issahaku will however miss Ghana's 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifying games against Chad and Mali for precautionary reasons.
