Great Olympics coach Sulley Adamu has reiterated the importance of the Democracy Cup for his team ahead of their game against regional rivals Hearts of Oak.
The Division One side will lock horns with their decorated opponents for the bragging rights while also underlying the significance of Ghana's unflinching democracy. The game will be played at the University of Ghana stadium in Accra on Sunday.
The winner of the Democracy Cup will travel to the United States to represent Ghana in the DC Africa Cup.
"I know the Democracy is a tough game for us as Great Olympics. We respect Hearts as opponents and the arrival is also tough for us but I know my boys are very ready for that particular game," he told the media.
"It's a pre-season game, we are preparing our team towards the league but I know what they have putting into the minds of their guys . I know they are going to give us a good game.
"I hope we are coming all out to make sure we are going to lift the trophy."
Adamu admits Hearts of Oak have done some good recruitment during the window but he remains unfazed ahead of the match.
"We know they have done some good scouting. I have been observing them from afar. I know they have a good squad but same here, I also make it possible I have a good squad. So I think we are really going to give them a good game and we are going to get the trophy from them," he added.
